The woman carrying two hammers 7. The Florida Joker mugshot 8. Dirt bikes and ATVs taking over the road Rockstar is rebuilding Florida's internet history too Several of the wildest scenes in Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 1 already happened in real life.

A woman danced on a car speeding across Miami, an alligator wandered into a shop, a tattooed "Florida Joker" appeared in a mugshot and a neighbor confronted a car with two hammers. Rockstar changed the faces and locations, but some shots preserve the camera angle, pose and surrounding chaos closely enough to recognize the source immediately.

Most of the comparisons lead back to Florida, the real state behind Leonida . Two of the most widely shared clips do not: the hammer confrontation happened in Los Angeles, while the naked police chase was filmed in Ontario, Canada. Together, the eight moments show how Trailer 1 draws not only on Miami landmarks, but on the viral footage that has shaped the internet's idea of Florida.

GTA 6 Trailer 1 scenes and their real-world counterparts

Eight viral incidents closely echoed by scenes in GTA 6 Trailer 1.

One of Trailer 1's most memorable social-media clips shows a woman dancing on the roof of a red Karin Intruder as it travels through Vice City . The framing is remarkably close to a video recorded on Miami's MacArthur Causeway in March 2017.

In the original Miami video , the woman balances over the sunroof while the car moves toward Miami Beach at sunset. Rockstar swaps the vehicle and surrounding traffic, but retains the elevated pose, open sunroof and moving-road perspective. Of all the real-life comparisons in the trailer, this is one of the clearest.

The alligator in the swimming pool The trailer cuts to an animal handler fighting to pull an alligator from a suburban swimming pool while someone records the struggle for social media. Florida news has supplied plenty of similar scenes, but a 2019 removal in Palm Beach Gardens is an especially close match.

A nine-foot alligator was found resting at the bottom of a family pool . Video showed a trapper hauling it from the water and dragging it across the lawn. GTA 6 turns the removal into a vertical social post from the fictional account OfficialPOACH, complete with the warning to check for uninvited guests before a pool party.

The alligator making a convenience-store visit Seconds later, security footage captures another alligator walking through the automatic doors of a convenience store. The scene blends several real Florida reports into one perfect convenience-store encounter.

In June 2018, two people left an injured three-foot alligator inside a Wawa in Lakewood Ranch. The following month, a Jacksonville man was filmed carrying a live alligator into a convenience store during a beer run . GTA 6 removes the human escort and lets the reptile stroll in by itself, which somehow makes the scene feel even more believable.

The naked police chase was actually filmed in Canada The PlanetLeonidaMan clip shows a nearly naked man running through traffic with an officer close behind. It has been repeatedly grouped with the trailer's Florida references, but the matching real video was recorded in Oakville, Ontario.

CHCH News reported that police were pursuing a man along Trafalgar Road in October 2022. A student filmed the chase from a passing car, giving the video the same moving roadside angle used in Trailer 1. The setting moved south for GTA 6, but the pursuit, traffic and phone-camera viewpoint remain recognizable.

The man doing yard work in his underwear Trailer 1 briefly passes an older man watering an overgrown front garden in little more than a visor and a thong. That image has a direct Florida counterpart.

In 2018, residents in Stuart complained about a neighbor who did yard work and walked around his property naked . The GTA 6 version adds just enough clothing for the joke while keeping the ordinary suburban setting. It is exactly the kind of background encounter that makes Leonida feel strange before the player has even done anything.

" Her stance and the damaged car behind her closely match a video from Chatsworth, California.

The 2020 incident involved a woman striking a neighbor's car with hammers after objecting to where it was parked. Rockstar changes her clothing and dialogue, but retains the dual hammers, residential street and confrontation beside a car. The important correction is geographical: this viral scene came from Los Angeles, not Florida.

The Florida Joker mugshot A Weazel News report shows a shirtless man with purple hair and face tattoos being processed by police. The resemblance to Lawrence Sullivan, better known online as the "Florida Joker," is immediate.

Sullivan's 2017 Miami-Dade mugshot spread online after police arrested him on a concealed-firearm charge . GTA 6 replaces his green hair with purple and changes the tattoos, but keeps the dyed hair, darkened eyes, stitched smile and forehead writing. The trailer's version looks less like a generic face-tattoo joke than a deliberate remix of one of Florida's most recognizable mugshots.
