GTA 6 is coming to PC sooner than you may think. That’s according to a new report with various sources said to be familiar with the PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI. As we know, the next GTA series instalment is currently only publicly announced to launch on PS5 and XBOX Series X|S this November.

Over the past few years, sales of these consoles have stalled and fallen behind last generation and the prices have essentially doubled from their launch price back in 2020. It has become far more expensive to purchase a console. PC hardware has also gone up even more but there are more people with access to a PC than before.

According to GamesBeat , Rockstar is currently aiming to release the PC version of GTA VI within the first quarter of 2027. That means the first three months of the year: January, February or March. This is coming from 4 separate “industry sources” who are privy to Rockstar Games’ current timeline.

They currently have “business relationships” with Rockstar. Previously, we reported how the reputable Andy Robinson of VGC claimed there has been “noise” within the industry about Rockstar “pushing up” the PC version’s release date. Releasing just a few months after console is a major shift in Rockstar’s PC strategy.

In the past, we would have to wait a year or more for a PC port. There’s good reason for that. Take-Two have been saying PC gaming is a big market for them now and it will continue to grow.

We’ll have to wait and see if it will only be a few months to experience GTA VI above 30FPS. You can pre-order your PS5 or XBOX copy with this link . Using the link to pre-order the game will help support this website as we’ll earn a small commission.
