Zoom image: Rockstar has cranked Survivals and Slasher modes to triple cash, while offering a staggering $2,000,000 month-end bonus if you can survive all five of October's weekly challenges. Halloween has finally arrived in Grand Theft Auto Online and the first week of the event pays triple in Survivals, Slasher modes and Community Series races while giving away a free T-shirt and a Green Vintage Skull Mask. This event week runs from October 1 through October 7, though a few bonuses stay active longer.

This week's challenge is to complete two Bail Office Bounties , which earns you the Green Vintage Skull Mask and GTA$100,000. The challenges get harder each week, and finishing all five adds a GTA$2,000,000 bonus, delivered within 72 hours of completing the last one. Just playing GTA Online this week also gets you the free Cheerleader Massacre 3 T-Shirt.

Halloween Survivals pay 3X GTA$ and RP across the board. That covers the Alien Survivals, the Cayo Perico Survival and the Ludendorff Cemetery Survival , which returns in the frozen setting of North Yankton with waves of enemies and haunted animals.

In Slasher, one player hunts the others with a shotgun while everyone else carries only a flashlight, and if the hunted survive for three minutes, the roles reverse. The newest version of the mode is set aboard the Ramius submarine and is included in the bonus.

Racers also earn 3X GTA$ and RP in the Halloween additions to the Community Race Series, including the Zombie Town Circuit, and those payouts run through November 4. Random Transform Races and Hotring races in the San Andreas Super Sport Series pay triple too.

If you prefer working the streets, apprehending Standard and Most Wanted Bail Office Targets and doing Dispatch Work for Vincent Effenburger both pay 2X GTA$ and RP, and these law enforcement bonuses last all October.

Ghosts Exposed pays 2X GTA$. In this mode you photograph apparitions around the map, including one of a late billionaire investor whose body was never found. Photographing all 10 spirits earns you the Ghosts Exposed Jacket.

The returning Halloween activities pay double GTA$ and RP as well. You can collect Jack O'Lanterns around the map or take on UFO Business Battles , where you extract Spaceship Parts from Fort Zancudo . Los Santos and Blaine County are also more dangerous after dark, with the Clone Slasher roaming and a driverless Declasse Tornado Custom hunting players.
