In the hours before Grand Theft Auto VI gets its big Extended Look , the company fired off two clarifications on X spelling out exactly what content creators can do with it. The surprisingly communicative Rockstar has now said more in a day than it usually manages in a year. In fact, this is the most they've posted in a single day across the last eight years, which just goes to show how big of a deal this is for the Grand Theft Auto franchise.

So what exactly did Rockstar say? First, once the Extended Look debuts on Netflix, creators are clear to post reactions, clips, breakdowns, and analysis anywhere they like. m.

The one thing Rockstar says isn't allowed is is restreaming or reposting the raw, unedited video in full.

What Rockstar is allowing for the Extended Look

Netflix representative had already told press that creators were welcome to cover the show once it went live, but it still feels different when it comes from Rockstar itself. The tweet puts the earlier statements in writing, adding the livestream rules on top. It also settles the one nervous question hanging over a Netflix-first drop, and that is the fear of getting a copyright strike for uploading a video reacting to the reveal.

The key detail is that creators do not have to wait for that free drop. m. premiere, so the first takes will start appearing during the exclusive window.
