As many of you know, GTA 6 will not be having a disc release, initally it was speculated that it was to prevent leaks or second-hand sales. But after recent news from Sony, I believe it's part of a bigger plan from them to get rid of physical discs. Playstation is clearly shown to be having a strong partbership with Rockstar, having changed their app logos to be GTA VI themed and have even branding GTA VI to "play best on PS5" with Xbox being omitted from some ads by Rockstar. Knowing the massive hype for GTA 6, I don't think it's crazy to assume that Sony might have made a deal with Rockstar to make the game digital only in order to ease people into buying games digitally since the game will likely be one of the highest and fastest selling games ever regardless.
